Community Living

ResCare is the industry leader when it comes to providing residential services and community living supports to youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Individuals take an active role in developing their individual service plan with our interdisciplinary team. We encourage the people we support to engage in family and community activities that may include participation in clubs, classes, athletics, church and other organizations.

We help individuals achieve their highest level of independence at home and in the community. States determine what kinds of community living services they provide.  These services are typically funded by Medicaid or other funding.

We offer a variety of community living options to adults and children:

Acquired Brain Injury Services — We offer the highest quality and most cost-effective neurobehavioral rehabilitation, residential rehabilitation, and long term support services. We tailor these services to persons across a broad range of ages, acuities, behaviors, locations, and resources.

Adult Family Living/Host Homes — We find people with disabilities a home with a family to live in their community.

Residential Living — We provide residential services and supports under the various funding sources (home and community based waiver, ICF, etc.) allowing people the opportunity to live in the community in a home.

Youth Residential and Treatment Service — We serve young people with emotional and behavioral issues or other special needs as well as juveniles in the justice system. Services offer intense supports which teach young people strategies for independent living as well as social and academic skills within residential treatment facilities or group home settings.

Youth Foster Care — We provide support to foster parents offering a safe and stable environment for youths challenged with social, emotional and educational issues.
