ResCare Names New Leadership

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – ResCare, the nation’s largest private provider of services to people with disabilities, the largest privately-owned home care company, the largest provider of specialized high-acuity neuro rehabilitation in community settings, and the largest one-stop workforce contractor, has announced several additions to its leadership team.

The company named Chuck Fitch as chief information officer, Mark Glidea as president of Residential Services and Jennifer Phipps as chief accounting officer and controller.

Chief Information Officer

FitchFitch will be responsible for new and emerging technology strategies at ResCare as the company creates optimal environments for people in need of assistance.

He is a proven innovator with success in driving business value through transformative use of the information technology (IT) portfolio. Fitch brings a track record of aligning business strategy and organizational needs with people, process and technology to deliver business results.

Fitch joins ResCare from University of Louisville Physicians Inc., where he served as chief information officer and vice president of IT. He also previously served as vice president of IT for Delta Health Alliance, a federally authorized community development organization in Mississippi.

President of Residential Services

GildeaGildea is a veteran health care executive who brings knowledge and expertise in multiple segments of health services, hospitals and health technology.

In his role, Gildea will oversee Residential Services, where ResCare is leading the way with the “Connected Home” – using electronic health records, medication management, remote monitoring, telehealth and behavioral services to create environments where people can live their best life.

Gildea served for 13 years as senior vice president of DaVita HealthCare Partners, a leading provider of dialysis services. Previously, he served as vice president of operations and senior executive for Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care system in Minnesota, as well as other leadership roles in health care.

Controller

PhippsExperienced in accounting and finance, Phipps will oversee ResCare’s accounting and reporting functions and serve as a key financial advisor to senior management.

She joins ResCare from Cardinal Health, based in Ohio, where she was responsible for a large accounting team in the pharmaceutical distribution and specialty distribution businesses. Prior to serving as director of accounting for the pharmaceutical segment at Cardinal Health, she was director of external reporting and technical accounting.
