OAKLAND, CA, (July 30, 2014)– ResCare HomeCare in San Leandro made a splash at Oakland Zoo’s 11th annual Healthy Living Festival. The annual festival brings 2,000 seniors from Alameda County together to participate in music, dancing, dining, exercise, animal viewing and the largest health and resource fair in the city.
Director of Business Development Natalie Klock met with seniors attending the event and made important connections throughout the day, including an instant bond with Oakland Mayor Jean Quan. Mayor Quan was impressed with the wealth of services ResCare provides.
“She seemed very impressed with ResCare, especially our size,” Ms. Klock explained. “She had no idea how large we were and was taken aback when she realized that we were a big corporation with a small town feel.”
Ms. Klock believes what stood out to Mayor Quan the most was how ResCare employees put their hearts into everything they do and truly care about the people they support and the work they are doing.
Ms. Klocks connection with Mayor Quan paid off when the mayor introduced Ms. Klock to the editor of the Oakland Tribune, who was snapping photos of the event and featured Ms. Klock and ResCare in the newspaper.
According to Ms. Klock, “It couldn’t be better timing for public acknowledgment about ResCare and what makes us a premier home care company!”
