TUCSON, AZ (FEBRUARY 14, 2014) — In an effort to promote hands-on learning experiences for the youth they serve, Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center recently partnered with Tucson Medical Center to provide students with an opportunity to practice and learn about their trade in a professional, real-world atmosphere.

Channing Tsosie, a 22 year-old student, recently decided to learn the electrical trade with the help of Fred G. Acosta Job Corps and an internship at Tucson Medical Center.

Mr. Tsosie isn’t the only one benefiting from this new partnership. Student Government President candidate Noble Kidd has also joined the medical center’s internship program in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Mr. Kidd hopes to start his own business one day.

Fred G. Acosta’s Center Director Carld Rosborough is grateful for the recent partnership with the hospital.

“I would like to personally thank Tucson Medical Center for their ongoing support,” Ms. Rosborough said. “Our students are successful because we have partners who are committed to helping them reach their full potential. We are proud to be able to work with such a stellar team.”
