In an effort to provide exceptional pharmacy services to the people we support, ResCare developed Pharmacy Alternatives, LLC. The pharmacy is a joint venture between Pharmapro, Inc. and Community Alternatives Pharmacy. Pharmacy Alternatives opened its doors in 2006 and is one of the only pharmacies in the nation to specialize in serving persons with developmental disabilities.

The pharmacy’s state-of-the-art system and technology is designed to serve the developmentally disabled population. Eventually, it will provide clinical supports that will complement the distribution of medications.  Pharmacy services are currently available in seven states: Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
