Pharmacy Alternatives, a member of the ResCare family of services, is a limited, closed-door pharmacy focused on serving individuals with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities who are receiving support and services from ResCare or other private providers.
As one of only a few pharmacies in the nation that specialize in serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ResCare’s Pharmacy Alternatives, offers:

In addition to providing traditional pharmacy services, we also offer clinical supports including seminars, conferences, webinars, e-mail education and even individualized educational support. Our monthly newsletter, The Post Script, includes information about pharmacy best practices, new medications, staff training issues and research in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The pharmacy also provides the services of a certified developmental disabilities nurse as a resource to all facilities.
