(Denver, CO) Wanda Santiago hoped to make the best of an unfortunate situation. Her employer - MONY Life Insurance - decided to relocate to Denver, CO as a result of the September 11th attacks in New York City. Before 2001 was over, she received a severance package and employee benefits for another year. ACS Workforce Services Group becomes part of ResCare family (Louisville, KY) The purchase of the operating assets and business of the Workforce Services Group from Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE:ACS) by Arbor E&T, LCC, a subsidiary of ResCare is expected to generate annual revenues of approximately $165 million. The purchase was funded with existing cash and availability under ResCare's senior credit facility. First time competitors at 52nd Annual Poly Relays; Ramey Job Corps emerges as the champions (Aguadilla, Puerto Rico) Ramey Job Corps Center has never participated in the annual poly relays in San German Puerto Rico before. They had no idea that when they would finally take part in the event that the newcomers would emerge victorious. Over 30 schools participated in this event with a total of nine hundred athletes from British Virgin Island, Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Puerto Rico. |
Executive Notes This will be the last Training Times in which I will be involved as ResCare's chairman, president and CEO. After many months of consideration and reflection, I have decided to retire as the President and Chief Executive Officer of ResCare effective June 22, 2006, the date of our annual shareholder's meeting. (more) This year, with the acquisition of ACS State and Local Workforce Solutions, we will be privileged to serve over 1,000,000 individuals within the Employment and Training Services Group.
