ResCare Wins Contract Renewal on Tulsa Job Corps Center

LOUISVILLE, KY (April 14, 2008) - ResCare, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSCR) the nation's leading provider of residential, training, educational and support services for people with disabilities and special needs, today announced that its Employment and Training Services Group has been awarded a $14 million two-year contract by the U.S. Department of Labor to continue operating the Tulsa Job Corps Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The term of the contract is from June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2010, with three one-year options for renewal.

Job Corps is an educational and training program offered by the U.S. Department of Labor for young people between ages 16 and 24. Students enroll to learn a trade, earn a high school diploma or GED and get help finding a job. Job Corps provides career counseling and transition support to its students for up to 12 months after they graduate from the program.

The Tulsa Job Corps Center, operated by ResCare since 2003, has 300 students who work to receive GEDs or high school degrees, vocational training and job placement. Tulsa Job Corps Center offers a wide range of trades including Business Office Technology, Health Occupations, Pharmacy Technician, Culinary Arts, Security, Brick Masonry and Painting.
