ResCare Names New Chief Business Services Officer

LOUISVILLE, KY (August 15, 2008) – ResCare (NASDAQ: RSCR), the nation’s leading provider of residential, training, therapeutic, educational and support services for people with barriers to employment and special needs, announced today that Michael J. Reibel has been named the new Chief Business Services Officer. Mr. Reibel has been with ResCare since 1993 and, as Senior Vice President of Support Services, has been a member of the ResCare Leadership Team since 2006.

As Chief Business Services Officer, Mr. Reibel will have responsibility for payroll, billing and scheduling systems, reimbursement, purchasing, property management and other business processes. Mr. Reibel joined ResCare as Controller in the Division for Persons with Disabilities. Since 1993, Mr. Reibel has worked in a variety of finance and accounting roles, including Vice President Planning and Analysis-Community Services Group, focusing on operational financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting. Before joining ResCare, Mr. Reibel, a Certified Public Accountant, worked for the public accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick in Louisville, Kentucky.
