Home Manager Mary Robinson had such a connection with one person, every year she would drive her to a cemetery 300 miles away to her mother's gravesite for a personal memorial service. And when the woman she served passed in October of 2007, as a ward of the state, she was not expected to receive a funeral service.

"Mary was very upset that the woman was not going to be treated in death with the dignity and respect that she received in her life."

So Ms. Robinson emptied her savings, paid for a proper funeral, and then drove the her ashes 300 miles to rest in peace beside her mother.
