Jorge Gutierez

Direct Care Staff and Certified Nurse Assistant Jorge Guierrez, who has worked in long-term care for 20 years, drives 80 miles round trip and works additional shifts to be there for the residents at Hy-Lond Home. He is a leader by example and by teaching and coaching other direct care staff.

"Jorge is an example of someone who has made a career being a shadow of the people he supports. He is constantly looking for ways the people he supports can overcome barriers and challenges, that they receive the supports and care they deserve and that they lead a life of respect and dignity."
