Veterans Of Foreign Wars Of The U.S. Bestows Honor
LOUISVILLE, KY (June 6, 2008) – ResCare, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSCR) the nation’s leading provider of residential, training, educational and support services for people with disabilities and special needs, today announced that the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) has selected the Workforce Solutions of East Texas-Tyler as this year’s “National Employment Services Office” recipient. Workforce Solutions is a part of ResCare’s Arbor E&T, LLC, which provides one-stop and workforce services for local government agencies in 25 states. Those services include skills assessments, education, job training and job placement for people of all ages and skill levels.
Nominated by veterans who use the services, Workforce Solutions of East Texas-Tyler was chosen from a number of candidates nationally “whose policies and achievements in assisting veterans to obtain gainful employment are considered outstanding.” The honor comes with a monetary award that will be reinvested in the workforce center to enhance its services.
