ResCare’s remote monitoring and support service uses the latest Web-based technology to help disabled individuals and seniors live independently at home while safeguarding their safety and privacy. Offered through Rest Assured®, a ResCare company, this service is powered by a patented Telecare system and supported by trained Tele-Caregivers working from a state-of-the-art network support and response center in Lafayette, Indiana.

Using a broadband Internet connection as well as discreetly-placed cameras and sensing devices in the client’s home, our Tele-Caregivers can monitor the home in real time, engage the client in two-way communication, and provide the client with watchful support.

Rest Assured® works directly with people in need of support as well as with their family members, providers and managers, and government agencies.

Our clients are individuals who want to live independently at home but need some assistance to do so safely and with peace of mind. These individuals include people with developmental disabilities, people with physical disabilities, seniors, people with acquired brain injury (ABI), and others.

For our senior clients, our remote monitoring and support services can make it possible to continue to live at home in comfort and dignity, without the intrusion of a live-in caregiver or 24-hour home care. See a video about our senior services.

For clients with developmental disabilities, our remote monitoring and support services can help ease the transition between living at home with family and living more independently. Offering non-intrusive but dependable support,

In every case, services are designed to dovetail with customized protocols, based on individual needs.

Often services are contracted through our clients’ family members or through providers and managers such as disability services companies, geriatric care managers, catastrophic injury managers, trust officers, or others. We also provide services through government agencies; the Rest Assured® system can be used to dramatically lower a state’s costs for providing staff support services for Medicaid programs.

Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Based on the client’s specific needs, a remote monitoring and support arrangement can be used either as an alternative to in-home care or in conjunction with home care services provided by ResCare HomeCare.
