ISO 9000

ResCare is also committed to implementing ISO 9000 standards throughout its organization. Beginning with our Education and Training Services side we are testing each service line to ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards. As a public company we must build public trust. When corporations make promises there should be a way they can be tested. One widely accepted test is a set of international standards that measures quality management and quality assurance. The standards are known as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), a specialized international agency for standardization with the national standards bodies of 91 countries. ISO-9000 is used to say, “This is how quality should be measured,” whether you’re building cars, educating children or doing job training. Companies in Alabama or Azerbaijan pick up the ISO book when they want to ensure that they’re keeping their promises to their customers. Boiled down, the ISO standards are simple: say what you do, do what you say, prove it and then improve it.
